James F. Atchison Memorial Park
The James F. Atchison Memorial Park is located behind the Lyon Township Municipal Center, which is located at 58000 Grand River Avenue in New Hudson.
The park is open daily from dawn until dusk. Please be advised that vehicles are not allowed to enter the park during winter and early spring, due to the roadways not being plowed and/or the ground being extremely soft. The park usually opens for vehicular traffic sometime around Easter.
The park is also the site of the ongoing Art in the Park project. More information can be found here.
The annual Lyon Township Kite Festival will be held in the park on June 2, 2012. More information can be found here.
The first annual Lyon Township Winterfest will be held on in the park on Saturday, January 21, 2012. More information can be found here.
Pavilions in the park are available for rental. A rental form can be found below. If you have any questions, please contact Rose Case through email or by calling 248-437-2240.

Park Committee
In July of 2006, the Lyon Township Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee was re-established. Lise Blades is the committee chairperson. Questions or concerns can be addressed to her in care of the Lyon Township Municipal Center.
The committee works with the Board of Trustees to oversee the operations and maintenance of James F. Atchison Memorial Park.
