James F. Atchison Memorial Park
The James F. Atchison Memorial Park is located behind the Lyon Township Municipal Center, which is located at 58000 Grand River Avenue in New Hudson.
The park is open daily from dawn until dusk. Please be advised that vehicles are not allowed to enter the park during winter and early spring, due to the roadways not being plowed and/or the ground being extremely soft. The park usually opens for vehicular traffic sometime around Easter. In 2013, a toddler playground was installed in the park.
Bob Seccombe came up with the idea for the park. Robert Seccombe Trail is named in his honor.
Lyon Township Kite Festival
Pavilions in the park are available for rent. A rental form can be found below. If you have any questions, please contact Rose Case by email or by calling 248-437-2240.
